This is Representative Marcus Oshiro. Marcus Oshiro is the Chair of the State House Finance Committee. We just found out that SB 2378 SD2 will be heard by the House FINANCE Committee on Monday, March 29, 2010, in a hearing at 6pm. CLICK HERE to see why SB 2378 SD2 is important.

To democratize OHA elections, Marcus Oshiro and the State House Finance Committee needs to pass SB 2378 SD2.

What are Hawai'i's "Ceded" Lands?

Ceded lands are the crown and government lands of the Hawaiian Kingdom that were somehow "transferred" (or ceded) after the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy to the State of Hawaii and held in trust for one of five purposes including "the betterment of the conditions of native Hawaiians".
